# Set up delivery

For Cofinal to fulfill your orders, the Cofinal shipping rates must be on your delivery profile in Shopify. Setup happens in two places: you pick the rates in the Cofinal dashboard, and you set the transit time in Shopify.

## Setup

1. **Open Delivery** in your dashboard.
2. **Pick the delivery profile** Cofinal should add shipping rates to.
3. **Tick the rates** your customers should be able to pick at checkout.

Delivery profile

GLS Parcel Shop
Delivered to the nearest parcel shop · 1-2 business days

GLS Home Delivery
1-2 business days

*Pick the delivery profile and the rates your customers should be able to pick at checkout.*

After saving, Cofinal creates a fulfillment location in your Shopify store and adds a zone named 'Denmark Cofinal' to the picked delivery profile. The zone gets the shipping rates you picked.

**Two things you must not change in Shopify:**

- The zone named 'Denmark Cofinal'
- The location group under the Cofinal location: Cofinal only delivers to Denmark, so no more zones may be added

## Rate names

Cofinal creates the rates in the language of your dashboard: GLS Pakkeshop and GLS Hjemmelevering in Danish, GLS Parcel Shop and GLS Home Delivery in English. You may rename them, for example to “Levering til pakkeshop”, “Home delivery” or “Point relais”. Cofinal reads the names in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German, French, English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Finnish and Polish, regardless of capitalization.

Cofinal can’t ship a rate whose name:

- names another carrier, such as PostNord or DAO
- promises a delivery GLS can’t keep: express, same day, evening or weekend
- is pickup in your own shop
- is courier or freight delivery
- says both parcel shop and home delivery, or neither, such as “Standard” or “Free shipping”

You may also translate the rates, for example with Shopify’s Translate & Adapt app. Your customers see the translation at checkout, but the order carries the rate’s own name, so that is the name Cofinal checks. Keep each translation to the same delivery type as the name.

If Cofinal can’t ship a rate, the Delivery page and the notice in your dashboard say what is wrong and how to fix it. An order with that rate is put on hold until you change its shipping method in Shopify.

## Fine-tuning

Transit time cannot be set automatically, so you set it yourself in Shopify:

1. **Find the delivery profile** in Shopify and open its shipping rates.
2. **Add transit time '1-2 weekdays'** to each of the rates.
3. **Set the prices.** Cofinal creates the rates with a starting price, but pricing is yours: change the price, add conditions (e.g. free shipping over a certain amount) or set up tiered pricing.

## When do orders ship?

We dispatch on weekdays. An order placed after 15:00 ships the next weekday; if placed after Friday 15:00, it ships Monday. With manual submissions the cut-off is 3 hours earlier. We do not dispatch on public holidays.

GLS delivers within 1-2 weekdays to parcel shop or home delivery.

## Need to change something later?

You can always change profile choice and rates under Delivery in your dashboard. If you add or remove a rate, save the same way: what is ticked is what sits on the profile.
