The warehouse behind your Shopify store

Cofinal is the warehouse behind small Shopify stores in Denmark. Start with 0–50 orders a week. You send the goods to us, and we receive, store, pack and dispatch.

The dashboard shows what needs your action.

The dashboard

In your dashboard you follow orders, inventory, inbound shipments and returns. Anything needing your action, such as an order on hold or a damaged item, sits at the top.

Inbound shipment

Before you send goods to Cofinal, you create an inbound shipment in your dashboard. It tells us which items are on their way to the warehouse, and which tracking number the shipment arrives with.

When you create an inbound shipment, you fill in barcode and quantity for each item. Tracking number and carrier must be added before the inbound shipment can be received and the items put in stock.
When the inbound shipment arrives, the receiving report shows expected and received quantity per item, and damage is documented with photos.
If an item arrives damaged, you see a photo of the damage in your dashboard and choose whether the item is in good condition or should stand as damaged. You can also save it for later.

Inventory

Your items are stored in their sales packaging in storage boxes.

The stock count in your Shopify store follows the warehouse: an item counts as soon as it has been received and checked, and again when it comes back in stock after a return.
Storage is charged per litre per night. Your storage cap is the amount you can keep in stock at the base price, and you can always follow both your stock volume and the cap in your dashboard.

Orders

Orders from your Shopify store are sent to Cofinal, automatically or when you request it. Once Cofinal has accepted the order, we pack it and send it.

If your customer orders before 15:00 on a weekday, we dispatch the order the same day.
Cofinal puts an order on hold when it cannot be shipped as it is, for example because the address cannot be used or an item is not in stock. The order stays in the warehouse until the problem is resolved, and then the hold is lifted automatically.

Returns

When you approve a return request in Shopify, you transfer the return label to the customer in your dashboard. It contains a QR code the customer shows at a parcel shop.
We receive and check returned items no later than one weekday after arrival and assess whether they can be sold again. Based on the assessment and your returns policy, you choose in Shopify whether the customer is refunded.

Is Cofinal right for your store?

We ship to addresses in Denmark, and an item may measure at most 36 × 26 × 26 cm and weigh at most 4.5 kg. If you send more than 50 orders a week, write to us before you start.

Start with a small inbound shipment

Your first inbound shipment may be small: send some of your items, follow them from receiving to dispatch, and send the rest in the next inbound shipment.
