Quality control for Shopify stores

We check every item you send us, one by one, no later than one weekday after it arrives. If something is damaged, you see the photo in your dashboard and decide.

You see the damage and decide

We photograph damage. You choose whether the item is in good condition or damaged.

Damaged items are kept off sale

A damaged item is kept apart from your available stock until you decide otherwise.

How closely we check

Goods can be checked at four levels. The deeper the check, the more errors it finds.

1Surface check of the pallet

A damaged or wrong pallet. Errors inside the cartons stay hidden.

2Surface check of each carton

A wrong carton or a damaged one. A wrong product inside the carton can still slip through.

3Surface check of each item

A wrong product, a missing piece or damaged packaging. We scan, weigh and inspect each item.

Every item you send us

4In-depth check of each item

Faults on the product itself, inside the packaging.

Every return

Found the day after arrival, not months later

A wrong product or a damaged item is found no later than one weekday after it arrives. You can take it up with your supplier straight away. An error found months later, when a customer complains, is usually too late to claim.

After the check

Proof for your supplier

The receiving report shows what arrived. Damage on a pallet or parcel is photographed together with its shipping label.

Decide when it suits you

Items waiting for your decision sit at the top of your dashboard. You decide when it suits you.

Every item is weighed

An item whose weight differs from its reference weight by more than 10 percent is checked before it goes into stock.

We check your products at no charge

Questions about quality control

What is quality control?

Quality control means we check every item that arrives before it goes on sale. We scan, weigh and inspect it, and we photograph any damage.

What do you check when my items arrive?

We scan, weigh and inspect every item we receive. Damage is photographed, and you assess it in your dashboard.

How thorough is your quality control?

We do a surface check of every item you send us, one by one. That finds a wrong product, a missing piece or damaged packaging. We check returned items in depth, unpacked.

Do you open every item?

No. We check every item with its sales packaging on. A returned item is checked unpacked, because it has been with your customer.

When are my items for sale?

Receiving and quality control are completed no later than one weekday after arrival.

What happens to a damaged item?

We photograph it. You choose whether the item is in good condition or damaged. A damaged item is kept apart from your available stock until you decide otherwise.

Can I decide later?

Yes. Skip the item, and it waits at the top of your dashboard until you decide.

Why do you weigh every item?

An item whose weight differs from its reference weight by more than 10 percent is checked before it goes into stock.

How are my items measured?

We measure and weigh your items on receiving. The measurements decide the size group, and the size group decides the price.

How do I see what arrived?

The receiving report shows the expected and the received quantity for each item, so you see any difference at once.

How do I make a claim with my supplier?

Write to your supplier straight away, as suppliers often set short deadlines. Include the order number, the item, a description of the damage and the photos.

Are returns checked too?

Yes. We check every returned item, and you see the result in your dashboard. You decide the refund in Shopify.

Can I have damaged items disposed of?

Yes. You request disposal in your dashboard. Damaged returned items are disposed of free of charge.

What if an item is damaged in your warehouse?

We compensate goods lost or damaged in our warehouse at documented cost price, for example from the supplier invoice.

Does quality control cost anything?

No. We check your products at no charge. Only an item without a barcode costs extra, for the label we put on it.
